Jonno you could finally do binnian, lamagan, cove and beg! I know how long you've been trying to tick those off for.
That looks like a very professionally pitched tent in your photo Jonno ;)
I'm definitely in for this one. Is this going to be our "skills day" as well then?
This would be a good chance for me to try out my bivvy, but I might need to share a tarp with someone?
all being well I'm in.
Chris how about doing Donard via the black stairs and then cross to Commadagh and down the long way to meet the guys?
Think I'm going to treat nyself to a nice relaxing camp where I can bring gear for comfort. Might try and squeeze in Binnian to Beg before that tho.Jonno you could finally do binnian, lamagan, cove and beg! I know how long you've been trying to tick those off for.

Do I detect a day in the hills!? count me in? when you going? tomorrow sounds good.
Not tomorrow but I do have some holidays to take in the next month if you fancied a midweek trip or two. I'd have to either give you a royal kicking or make you walk backwards or something if I wanted any chance of keeping up with you though. You're like the freakin Terminator once you get going ::)Think I'm going to treat nyself to a nice relaxing camp where I can bring gear for comfort. I'll slow down especially for you

That could prove tricky. Harleys not been fixed.
I think fate is on my side for this one. I had a prior engagement that has just fallen through, so count me in ;D
I'm considering bringing a couple of whole rabbits to try the whole Bear Grylls bushcraft thing...
...Any objections please let me know, and I'll leave the rabbits in the field. I know this is gonna be a family camp and I wouldn't want to upset anyone.
Spatchcocking is banned this time ;)
Had to Google that....that's disgusting ;D ...then again I'm the sort of person who feels guilty eating lamb at this time of year.Spatchcocking is banned this time ;)
Agreed ;D

(snip)No no no no no. (shudder)
Its like Alien all over again... that photo would give Sigourney Weaver nightmares!
Will Kat be joining us? I seem to remember someone mentioning something about her owing us a desert or suchlike. Could have totally misheard of course ;) ::)
I'm going the tent route though I'll probably have the bivvy bag with me too!

What, youre going to eat them raw in your hotel room? Im sure noone would mind if you stayed and cooked them over the fire!! ;D
HiThere will be at least 3 kids between 8 - 11. Just remember that although it isn't far from the car park it is quite steep with some off-path parts.
would like to join in this camping weekend, would be a first timer, haven't a tent but know where I might be able to borrow would, would be keen to bring my son who's 8, are there any other kids around this age going, I do a fair bit of walking and cycling myself but my son doesn't do that much but keen to get him into the great outdoors
Ann
Who plans to Bivvie and Who plans to use a Tent?Hopefully I'll be hammocking!
Who plans to Bivvie and Who plans to use a Tent?
What time is everyone planning to head down at?
I'm probably gonna be down quite early. To get the rabbits I'll be down that direction about 7am then gonna stop in Newcastle for a bit of breakfast with my kid before heading up into the hills. If you do get down this weekend for a Reccie, take your Garmin with you and maybe you could get some co-ordinates, if you decide on a good site. I'd like to ditch my gear and get bit of a walk squeezed in while waiting for everyone else arriving.
:D Hound of Ulster and family hope to make this.
I have a hammock to learn how to put up and sleep in ;D
all being well I'm in.

Firewood might be an issue as the local area has been pretty much picked clean and any ready supply was further than comfortable. Any suggestions welcome!
Also, I think if someone brought a bow saw it might help as then we can get shot of some of the bigger stuff lying about.
I have to bow out to this one im afraid. Have to work at the Fat Boy Slim Concert photographing thousands of ravers off their face >:( >:( >:(

This one's kind of up in the air for me now too. Got a job in cotswolds and I start tomorrow. Not sure if i'll be working on sat yet or not if am then worst case I'll not be able to get down. More likely though I'll just shoot down when I'm finished.
