love the slower shutter for the flowing water effect, but how the feck do you get the greens so vivid?

the low angle makes all the difference too, very creative.

any chance of relevant shutter speeds or apertures used?

i use a sony a100 with minolta lenses but the pics never seem really sharp like the cannons or nikons.

I think those ones are hdr. Had no idea what it was so I googled it and some of the example pics have water effects like that.

None of the Glenariff ones are HDR, I very rarley do it. Plus since I switched to MAC, I don't have the software anymore.  It can become a bit of a cliche, and you end up sick of looking at it. Keep it simple!

HDR for me only really has its place adding a bit more depth to the photo's, or saving poor exposures, the overcooked near painting look is pretty rash if you ask me.

Kirth, do you use a set of filters when shooting?

I would use ND Filters which reduce the amount of light getting in, I also use a polarising filter which is how the greens are more vivid.  The filters i use are very cheap, becasue I dont do much landscape stuff, I have a friend who is a pro landscape shooter and his filters are £100 each.

Here is a few other landscapes i have taken, some with filters and some without.
