i had a quick outing this afternoon actually! wee dander with the dogs down oxford island.

little tip, bring some bread or something birds can eat. at one point there were about five robins flitting about the trees beside me really close to me,like about five inches from my hand.
i think if id have had some crumbs in my hand one of them would have landed on it.
lough neigh was frozen over up there with lots of fog through the forest.it was great and i got a few pics.

tried to light a little fire with one of my knives i made and a firesteel.the bogroll ingited alright but everything was damp and i couldnt be arsed doing the right preps.had to dander on b4 someone spotted me lol.

ps,i know its not the outing you meant old sausage!

The fog was pretty thick down here, would have been good to get into the woods some where.

Just back from a couple of days in Scotland  :) Twas really nice to have some proper snow instead of the usual shitty inch or two over here that melts quickly to form slush and ice. Got out for about 6 miles round the closest hill doing a bit of sleighing as we went up. Nearly a foot and a half deep at the peak which was pretty sweet.
Ended up building a pretty big igloo as well, slept in it for a bout 5 hours before the lack of proper bedding forced us inside. Getting home yesterday was a bit shitty though.

Annoyed that I didn't have a chance to get up the mournes with the snow on the hills, but last couple days with more snow than I knew what to do with made up for it.
