Yellow warning of snow for Northern Ireland (Yeoooooow). Might take a sledge to Pierces Castle on Saturday :D

As the weather breaks down, there is the potential for a spell of snow to spread from the southwest. As winds strengthen, blizzard conditions are a possibility, especially over high ground. Accumulations of 2-5 cm are possible quite widely and in some locations, especially higher ground, 15 cm are possible.

The public should be aware of the possibility of travel disruption. This warning is likely to be updated over the next few days.

BE PREPARED FOR HEAVY SNOW: Snow will arrive tonight from 01:00am onwards. It may start out as rain, but quickly turn to snow for all, even towards the coasts. This snow once set in, is not going anywhere fast, lasting into saturday. We could see ALOT of snow by the weekend. Tomorrow will see blizzards and drifting as winds blow snow around. The higher up you go, the deeper the snow with upto 12inches possible on the highest ground, but even to low levels 5-8inches is possible. Be prepared for disruption, and do not travle unless necessary. Carry blankets, snow shuvvels, a hot flask for tea etc on journeys. More updates soon.

According to the bbc weather, the heavy stuff is gonna be here about 16:00 and keep it up til at least midnight.  Minus temps tonight then more tomorrow.

Hoping for a howling blizzard then I'm getting head to toe waterproofed and going for a long walk  ;D

starting to get slush build up on window ledge..... snow seems bigger and fluffier now.... this can only be good......

Was out in it for about 45 mins there.
Down jacket under goretex jacket.
Cold? What cold?!
If anything I was verging on too warm.

I can't get anywhere until at least next saturday, so Im hoping the snow sticks around.

I want a snow bivvy!

Donard looks white on the Savoy webcam, I would go that direction tomorrow but my cameea is away for repair >:(
