Because of a website I happened upon, I have tended to check either Myweather2 (http://www.myweather2.com/Hill-and-Mountain/Ireland/Mourne-Mountains.aspx?sday=0&eday=7) or Metcheck.com (https://www.metcheck.com/HOBBIES/mountain_forecast.asp?LocationID=3539) for mountain weather. This seems to be okay, but one thing I have noticed on a couple of occasions is that every so often Myweather2 seems to mention thunder & lightning even when other weather reports for both Newcastle and the Mournes don't seem to mention it.
I'm not keen on being on the top of a bare mountain while huge amounts of electricity is falling from the sky, and to be honest even the thought of being there within a few days of the forecast freaks me out!
I understand that they may just be playing it safe, but I am curious as to what some of you tend to use to gauge the weather. Are there any other forecast sites that can be used to compare this?
Any and all advice is much appreciated!

I mostly use the Met Office and MetCheck.com. I find Metcheck to be pretty accurate and it has a good long range forecast.
