Would it be possible for anyone to do a shuttle run from the bus station to the camp?

There seems to be a few travelling that way, any one help?

Hey,

got plenty of mince pies last nite - 4 boxes enough (24) ?

On transport - i will be traveling up from belfast but think will be getting the bus ( alfa not liking the cold weather at the moment) does the mourne ramble go past carrick little ok?

MI

Keep an eye on the list of attendees in the first post.  There are 25 going so far so you might need another mince pie  ;)

I'll be bringing xmas cake too.
If I can find some cartons of custard I might bring it too, we could make custard up from powder, but that mightn't taste the best

I was thinking a wee bowl of xmas pudding doused in hot custard would be just the ticket.

I might be able to give some of you's a lift from Newcastle, although wont be up until 6. I'm sure someone wouldn't mind putting up my tent whilst I pick you's up.

We will have to learn our lesson from spilling the custard on top of Bearnagh

**Edit**

Also KG that would be great, I'd even put if up for you when we arrive if you provide a lift.

Sorry I meant the xmas cake.
I'll bring some extra custard and we'll see if anyone fancies it.
If not, it'll make a tasty sugary breakfast treat.

I am really looking forward to this too! Myself and mourneman should be arriving around 1630-1700 all being well! We had discussed a smaller fire for cooking away from the main camp fire? surfnscenic said at the last camp he has some grills from an old barbecue that he could bring, just means we could heat the food more gently and would be better for keeping stuff warm etc?
Anyone any thoughts?

Yeap... sounds like a plan.  We have talked about this a few times but were just too lazy to put it into action!!!  :-[
I cud bring up a large b b q grill thats not needed any more ,
Also if a few people brought up a bag of charcoal its a good steady
heat for the food etc .
If I'm up at 2:30ish, as I plan to be, I will try and make up another smaller fire pit close-by that we can set grills etc on.

Man, I can almost taste the Turkey already  :D

If there's anybody joining us that hasn't got their name down for something, and would like to bring something to the party, then a bag of charcoal wouldn't be a bad idea.  As Fourman says, it gives off a good steady heat and could be used in a smaller fire pit beside the main fire to keep things warm before serving  :)

With all these fires there better be something to cook on them. You wouldn't want bare grills now, would you. ;) ;D
