So I am looking to get out on sunday but atm not down the wall. I am currently looking to go down to the boulder at Greyabbey to do some bouldering.

The weather looks good currently

This is not set in stone  ::) as I could go indoors to the ozone or Hot rock if no-one else wants to go outside.

I'll be a bit pushed for time this Sunday, so the Hotrock would be good for me this time..   :)

I've been looking out for climbing gear on ebay and wanted to ask for a bit of advice concerning shoe size, i'm a size 9 and was wondering should i be looking for a climbing shoe a size smaller or a size larger. I know it can get a bit technical with different makes and models of shoes and they mostly don't follow your standard shoe size, but is there a general rule i should be following?

I have always bought my size. You could argue that smaller size helps but that can become uncomfortable over long periods of time.

Cheers, that's what i was wondering, should i go for a smaller size and have the toes curled up for strength and gripping or my usual size so it's more comfortable. Looks like i'll be taking the comfy route.  :)

Did you ever hear from that guy?

He had stated it was collection only but i emailed him and asked if he could post them, he replied and said he would check out the postage costs but that was the last i heard from him. The auction ended and the items were never relisted. It was a great bargain, shoes in my size, great harness, chalk bag and karabiners for £60, drats.

Get your feet measured in Cotswolds, I normally wear a 6.5 in a boot, but when he measured I was a 7 and 7.5 on the left. I ended up getting a pair that were size 8, they are still snug but at least I can walk in them.

That's quite a size difference from normal shoe size to climbing shoe size and i've been getting fairly confused as to what advice to take when reading online articles, some suggest getting a larger size some say get smaller, looks like a trek down to Cotswold then to get a reliable measurement. Thanks.
