Looking over your list in more detail Matthew, on a light over nighter your carrying About 13 lbs & up to double that on a more prolonged(luxury)filled trip  ;)

no grams to pounds -12669 g = 27.9303 lb for extra kit &  6021 g = 13.2740 lb for the lighter kit ::)

Thanks for that calculation  ;D I always use kg when weighing mine but always see in different forums that people use lb's. Id have too admit that my over night kit is about 10kg or more  :-X

On a very light overnight, I aim for 5-7 and for comfortable nights, it is around the 12 kg mark. My kit very seldom changes these days so ill rattle a more updated list off for people browsing.

It always looks like a nice lean set-up that Matthew has.  You'd do well to use that as a starting base and put in the other things that you can't live without.

Having never tasted buckfast wat i'am i missing,seems to be a bit of a thing on here the Auld buckfast

Drink any more than half a bottle and you'll be up all night from the caffeine. That's my experience with it anyhow. Though that's in a student house after sleeping most of the afternoon - maybe after a good hike it'd be another story!
