Climbing/Scrambling day
« on: March 13, 2010 »

Some of the guys have been talking about a day in the mournes getting to grips with some easy climbing and scrambling. And the use of ropes as far as i know the date is 21st March. Any one interested?

Location- Castles on Commedagh or the Great Gullie on Eagle mountain.

Not to sure mate you'd need to check with either chris or fatty-arbuckle. They know the climbing area s in the mournes more than the rest of us.

Cool, well if its an open invite, I might invite myself....

Will I just need a harness ?  And a pair of trainers or my mountain walking boots ?

i'll prob just wear my trail shoes. Its not going to be to technical, so i'd say boots or trainers would be fine.

Anyone interested in mountain climbing gear, I found this post on GumTree:

http://belfast.gumtree.com/belfast/48/53690248.html

I bought a helmet and harness for £30 yesterday, the lady (although it says Graham) is giving up climbing for health reason and has the full kit for sale.
