Cookstown Tourist Information Centre have teamed up with the Mid-Ulster Walking Club to bring you a weekend of fantastic hill walking in September.

Day 1 Saturday 12th September
Walk 1 - Banagher Circuit (Grade A : 5 hours approximately 15km)
Walk 2 - Banagher Circuit (Grade B : 3 - 4 hours approximately 9km)
A scenic route for both Grades A & B, along tracks and through an area of high scientific interest. Both walks will start from the Feeny Road entrance to Banagher Forest . Bus departs 10am sharp from Cookstown Tourist Information Centre (returns approximately 5pm)

Day 2 Sunday 13th September
Twin Peaks Classic
(Grade A : 5 - 6 hours approximately 7 km )

No walking festival would be complete without an ascent of Sawel Mountain, the highest of the Sperrin Peaks and its sister peak, Dart Mountain. The route will be linear, starting at Sperrin Heritage Centre, taking the track up through Legcloghfin towards Dart’s and Sawel’s summit.

Bus departs 10am sharp from Cookstown Tourist Information Centre (returns approximately 5pm)

Cost : £6 per person per walk
