Title: 31st Annual Causeway Coast Walk (3 May 09)
Post by: eventadmin on April 23, 2009
This walk, organised by the Bannside Rambling Club, starts from the North Coast offices of the National Trust at Innisfree Farm, which is located a short distance past the Causeway car park on the seaward side of the Causeway Coast Road. From Innisfree Farm it takes in the Causeway and goes by the cliff path to Dunseverick Castle. From Dunseverick walkers follow the coastal path to Port Bradden, along the beach at White Park Bay and on to the half-way mark at Ballintoy Harbour. Return journey via the same route. The full distance is just over 30km.

Badges and certificates will be awarded to persons completing the full distance but those wishing to do part of the walk are welcome provided they make their own transport arrangements.

The start is 8am (not later than 9am) and to qualify for certificate and badge walkers should finish by 5pm.

Walkers should carry their own food and water but snacks may be purchased at the Giant’s Causeway and at the cafe at Ballintoy.

Members of St John Ambulance Brigade and Raynet (radio) will be in attendance during the day.

Entry Fee: Adult (over 16) £6:00
