Strangford Lough pupper wild camp. Gibbs Island (owned by the National Trust), Quoile estuary. 22-23 December 2018.
A little rain overnight but a mostly calm and peaceful camp. A great spot with easy access.

cheers, it was a lovely calm morning. the sound of rain on the tent was great. I love that sound, especially when your all dry and half asleep.

That's a great time of year to be out when the weather is nice. The shot of the moon was brilliant, I don't remember it being so full.

Fantastic spot. I grew up in that area and we used to camp just across from there on Gores Island as kids. It was a short cycle from home for us and across the causeway at low tide.

the moon caught me by surprise!. and it disappeared behind the clouds pretty quickly as well.

yea, those islands are great. that's my first time around that part of the lough. might come back in the summer time for round 2!
