Sorry if I've missed anyone,so we're hoping everyone can be at the starting point which is just inside donard park for 10 am,I'll include a wee map detailing the starting point.As with any mountain walk please ensure suitable clothing & footwear is brought on the day,upon arriving at the starting point all participants details we be taken by LIFE who will be marshalling our event,again all those taken part are asked to keep to the main route,we've allowed. For 5 hours for the walk which should be more than enough time for anybody,remember fols the YMCA is kindly letting us host our BBQ within their grounds after our walk,we're we will raffle off our great prizes so kindly donated.

Would it be a good idea to follow the tradition and bring a stone from the beach and carry it up to the top of Donard?

should be there myself with my daughter and her friend both fifteen and determined to get to the top of Donard on the day, our bus doesn't get into Newcastle until 9.50 so a bit of a push, I'm a bit worried about the weather as they are not kitted out for it and i will have to stick with them, but i will pay my fee do my bit and hope for the best.

Im looking forward to this, I hope we get decent weather.
I think Mourneman and mountaingoat deserve a big well done for all the time, effort and stress they have invested in this. I dont think most of us can appreciate just how much work has gone into organising this. +1 karma from me guys ;D

Having tried to do this fundraising stuff before and only managing a small fraction of what John has achieved, I can easily realise what a MASSIVE effort John has put into this, with great results too, well done John, karma time  :)  i'm quite dissapointed I can't make the walk ( unless someone has a wee fall  8) ) but I should be at the BBQ.

I may have asked befoe but is there an online doation page for those that can't come, or even for those that can, that way we can gift aid our donations  ;)

Just let to thank everybody who is supporting our walk tomorrow,hoping we'll have a good family day out.Can everybody doing our walk please be ready to go for 10 am,at donard park,LIFE will have the way clearly marked.please remember to wear suitable footwear & clothing,a BBQ will be taken place after the walk in the YMCA,there will be refreshments,tea,coffee,raffles,& music,anybody still wanting to take part you will be very welcome
