Sport Northern Ireland Consultations
Our Great Outdoors

A love for our natural environment, special landscapes, secret places, fantastic coastlines and the wildlife that inhabits them, is a strong part of the fabric and value of life in Northern Ireland.

Ensuring that we can continue to enjoy the outdoors sustainably requires planning, development and management.

Sport Northern Ireland in partnership with the Northern Ireland Environment Agency, the Department of Culture Arts and Leisure Inland Waterways Branch and the Northern Ireland Tourist Board have been working to develop a new 10 year Outdoor Recreation Action Plan.

The aim of the plan is to “To continue to develop, manage and promote a dynamic culture of sustainable outdoor recreation in Northern Ireland.”

A number of regional public consultation workshops have been arranged to help get the views of those interested in outdoor recreation.

I have nothing to do with this just passing it on as it will affect everyone's areas within this forum.

Hopefully people can get there views and points across for their respective hobbies/activities and the powers involved listen.
