Does anyone have a Vango Tempest 300 they're looking shot of or a lead on anywhere selling them cheap?
Am after a bit of a more roomy tent for family stuff but that doesn't weigh the same as a small heffalump.

I've a tempest 200 aswell , just as good could recomend either .
I think similar in weight , the tempest has a larger porch area .

Yeah, was really the porch I was thinking of. I have a Banshee but in the rain it's tight for space for gear. What's the Tempest like to headroom?

Adequate, if you had a chat with Shamara at Cotswolds they'll put one up for you and they price match the online sites . Just make sure your comparison is on on your phone and it includes delivery cost , which are usualy free to uk .

Funny, I just checked Cotswolds and they didn't seem to carry them. Was considering it for this weekend if it was going to be wet.
Do you think the Tempest is significantly better for kids camping if you're not walking far and weight isn't so much of an issue?

Was just about right , I always split the kit up , gave one the pegs and poles nothing's to weighty but it free,s up a bit of space in your bag .
Quick tip , buy a small compression sack and it'll pack down a bit smaller .
