After having Mournemans Sloe gin last year at the xmas camp and him shouting about it recently its made me want to make it again. :)
Does anyone know where there are any Blackthorn trees or bushes in North Down/Belfast area?

Lots of black thorn where I am here in co tyrone but I have never tried anything like making gin. I'm more a beer or vodka man ;D

I like your thinking!

Whorya and myself are really interested in havin a go at making this, I'm gonna need to keep my eyes peeled for the bushes.

I'd encourage anyone to go out and give it a try.
It's incredibly easy (I can do it), it's fun, and you'd be surprised just how much there is out there to go and get.

remember ;D don't be buying expensive gin,smart-price gin will do the job alright

Skittles vodka is better.
Litre of vodka (pour a wee bit out, or drink it); empty in two packets of Skittles and leave for a few weeks to a month. Delightful.
