Enough of all this "fit" talk! This is gonna be easy and well spend more time in cars than on foot. Carrauntoohil is pretty easy apart from the long walk in and we've all been up Donard! Haven't been up the other two but we all need a bit of mystery in our lives.

Come on where's your sense of adventure!

I know this is a really old post but the other half has a bee in his bonnet about doing the horseshoe sometime and would appreciate any info/advice on Carrauntoohill and its 2 neighbours.

How does it rate in comparison to say Donard - I know it's higher but in terms of steepness? Is there camping near the car park? Is there much water about?

Looks interesting - and very doable.
The main potential issue here is tiredness if you don't get enough rest while travelling between hills.
If the dates work out I'd be up for this

We're thinking mid July ..... Though we're kind of short nice doers! It's usually a case of watching the weather and making a snap decision to go. Hate the thought of planning in advance and the weather being awful making the whole experience less enjoyable.

Will keep yous posted ....
