Post by: Rich.H on April 01, 2015
Amazon have their lightning deals going on both the 2 & 3 person versions of the Sabre tent. Usual price of £130 down to £64.99 for the next 3 hours.

Don't think it is that new, but it is an Amazon only one so could be why it is less well known that things like the Banshee etc. According to the Vango site the Sabre comes in at 2.9kg and the Banshee at 2.35kg, other than that the Sabre is a the hoop and the Banshee a two hoop design, but both have identical ratings for hydrostatic. The Sabre does have this odd system for venting which I figured made it worth a punt. At the foot end is a zip section on the inner tent where you open a flap to have a kind of mini porch, there is also one at the head end. Now the immediate advantage here is some extra space to store stuff like boots, but with both open it is meant to create an airflow system to keep things dry inside.

Either way a 2 man Vango for £65 was worth a punt, if it turns out to be tosh fit only for holiday campers I figure it will still easily fetch £70 on ebay, so you can't loose.
