Title: Lowe Alpine Mountain Marathon
Post by: Rich.H on June 11, 2014
Lowe have their MM 20th anniversary this year and have put up a two part coverage of the 1997 event, I am guessing it was the first one that was fully filmed. Good viewing for seeing how they used to do it. These folks were properly tough, none of that fancy footwear or gear we get to use now. Though I'm pretty sure one chap in the winning team was using an omm 25l.

Watch them both HERE (http://vimeo.com/92236923) and HERE (http://vimeo.com/92236924)

It's like the guy years ago that cycled from Scotland, ran the Mourne Wall Marathon, then cycled home again. Not all in the same day I assume ;)
