Title: Hillsborough Lake just been restocked
Post by: ChuckMcB on August 25, 2010
Just in case it's of interest: Just saw a flat bed from some fish farm offloading several big containers of fish into a RIB, which in turn dumped them into the middle of the lake. No idea what type of fish they were.

(edit: Carp perhaps (http://www.banbridgeleader.co.uk/2723/Anglers-carp-over-plans-to.5656700.jp)?)

Forgive me...is that a good or bad thing?

(edit: this page (http://www.dcal-fishingni.gov.uk/index/stocking_details.htm) may confirm what's been dropped into the lake when it's updated at the start of September)

depends what type of angler u are, im mainly pike and trout, never fished for carp but wud like to, i think its a good thing as theres already enough rainbow trout fisheries here, and like pike fishing theres that chance of a really big fish. ;D
