Trekmate Walking poles TKMAX.

At the weekend I purchased two Trekmate walking poles from the Belfast tkmax.. They were £9.99 each.

They had other types for the same price but silly me didn't think of looking at what makes they were for you guys.

Also bought a Gelert Hydration Pouch for £6

They had other bits and bobs such as dry bags and med kits.

Yup, TKMax's range of Trekmates stuff is excellent starter kit, loved my lightweight gaiters and bivvy bag (until I lost the latter, need to buy another one)

There are a few offers on poles about at the moment. 

Cotswold have Trekmates Peak Walker Antishock poles for £15 (for the pair).  I went in to buy them but came home with the Craghoppers Superlite Shock Absorber Poles which are £26 each on the website, but on offer in store for £30 for the pair.

I saw those trekmates in cotswold but I being fussy didn't find it comfortable to hold. So these have the two options for holding and almost have a softish feeling with cork handles. :) I didn't see the offer on the craghoppers though  :( Maybe Oisin could get those ones.

The comfort of the handles was a slight concern for me too, I thought they may get a bit slippy on a warm day.  Saturday was my first time ever using poles and I quite appreciated having them at some points.  Still not sure whether I would set out to use them from the start or take them for later in the day as such.  In any case their weight isn't too bad so easy enough to just take anyway.
