This is a copy of the August roundup email

Well, NI-Wild.co.uk is into its 5th month of operation, we have over 100 members and things are going swimmingly. Incase you've been hiding under a rock, this is some of the stuff that people have been getting up to.

A weekends canoe camping and some dodgy weather on Salt Island for Jonno and Rivendell

A windy camp on the summit of Bernagh for 666_Pack, MG1, Jonno, Billy_Backpack, Chris_8764, Pete and Ulsterwalker

A camp in Donard Wood including a 3am summit of Slieve Donard for 666_Pack, MG1, Jonno, Billy_Backpack, Chris_8764, Hound of Ulster and a million midges

A climb of Slieve Donard for a young'un (Well done!)

A very impressive ascent of Mount Errigle by Kendogbaggio, Neil and Sean

Also, Ulsterwalkers epic month long walk of the entire Ulster Way at the start of the summer deserves a mention too - it's some feat - congratulations Keith!

Needless to say, Summer is turning to Autumn but that's no reason to climb into bed until spring arrives. There will no doubt be plenty being organised over the coming months and there's lots of fun to be had chatting on the forum so point your browser at http://www.ni-wild.co.uk/ and join in (Right now!)

There are several groups doing the Mourne Mountain Marathon on the 19th so here's wishing them well - have a great time and remember - it's not about winning, it's about grinding the opposition under your Scarpas as you leave them in the dust!!!

Things to watch for in the near future are:
* Walking the Brandy Pad
* Canoeing trips have still to be organised
* Hopefully there will be more bushcrafting organised now that the NIBA is getting some traction
* The now long overdue NI-Wild in the pub gathering
* Lots of Winter camping and lots and lots of winter walking

Cheers for now,

Admin
