Just a quick message to Hi and thanks for letting me join the group. I am an avid mountain biker and into my health and fitness. Have recently started hiking again after a number of years away, young children and busy lifestyle to blame.lol. Loving getting back out and done my first wild camp last year with the rugrats in tow. Generally just love anything outdoors in nature where you can get away from it all. Was told about ni-wild by one of the members I got talking to, and I think its a great idea, as sometimes it can be hard to find willing company to join us on an outdoor adventure in our wonderful climate.lol. Also would be good to hear others opinions of hikes, areas to visit and outdoor gear reviews by the people who use it the most. So I look forward to seeing your posts, hearing your opinions and hopefully meeting up with some of you in the coming year! :)

Hi and welcome to the forum .

Hi Vikin76, welcome to NI Wild. Where did you get the kids to on the wild camp?
-
Hi whoRya, I took them up beside the Trassey at the end of last summer. We were eaten by the dreaded midge, but still enjoyed it all the same. Something I`d like to do more of this year if possible, and not necessarily in the Mournes.

Oh no the old midge, you can have some great fun when they're about. They really do my nut in, so much so I tend to do most of my camping in the winter although with kids in tow this can prove to be a bit tougher with all the extra gear.
Oh and welcome to the forum :D

Welcome. Can't beat camping with the kids, is good for them, good for you, good all round 8)
