Title: St Patrick's Day Walk 2011
Post by: Gerry on March 18, 2011
Took part in the St Pats day walk from Castle Ward. This is the furtherest I have walked since getting back into the way. I know it doesn't seem like much but 15 miles is a long way for me after doing nothing for over 15 years. Great weather and great craic. At lunch break you were offered tea, coffee, water or a glass of hot or cold Bushmills. They forced me to have 2 Bush honestly. ;D
Congratulations to Down Council and Lecale RC for a well organised and great day.
I would post some photo's if I could find out how. lol :-\

15 miles is a long walk but most people's standards.  In fact if I've walked that distance in one day more than a few times in my life that is about it.

The easiest/quickest way to post a few pics is by clicking the "additional options" hyperlink below and left of the main 'post a reply' box.  Then just browse your files to attach a file.  Other than that loading the pics onto somewhere online works well.

15 miles is a great distance. I walked 18 miles on the flat and my feet were sore for days after.
