Title: How's it hanging folks?
Post by: D1ceman on September 16, 2015
Hey everyone,

Newbie here with a DD camping hammock and a 3x3m tarp ready to hang.

I'm pretty new to hammocking and still need to get out for an overnighter. Unfortunately I've no mates into hanging about in the woods so I'm hoping maybe some of you will give me a helping hand and a maybe bit of company at some point.

I'm interested in wild camping (with the hammock obviously) and would like to get chatting with anyone who heads out regularly with their hammock and tarp.

I've also made a few of my own whoopie slings and soft shackles to use as spares and as part of my suspension system so if anyone happens to need a bit of assistance in that department, I'd be happy to help.

I'm located in Whitehead, about 15 miles north of Belfast so if anyone is from that neck of the woods, give me a shout.

Looking forward to hearing from y'all.

Cheers,
Pete (D1ceman)

The DD Hammocks are great quality, I've one I used a good bit. Just generally can't be bothered with the flaff to get it hung so I only keep it for special occasions  8)

Welcome!

Cheers for the welcome guys.

Glenn, I'll be sure to keep an eye on those short notice trips in case there's something handy to me.

I'd love to join someone else on a hang. It's probably the best way for me to learn as I'm pretty much a complete novice.

Fire a post up when you know your dates and I'll see how I'm fixed for joining you in Annalong.

Cheers!  :)
