Why would you want to pay for cams or nuts when a bit of rope will do?

I hear that's standard practice in some euro country like Czech Rep. Kinder to the rock!

The features in their terrain must be suitable - can't see a lot of places that would accomodate such pro.

Ye I saw something about somewhere either in the Czech Republic or some remote part of Germany were standard protection was deemed as unethical and they only allow people to use rope for protection. I'm still finding it hard enough trusting nice gear placements with nuts and hexes let alone just rope. I'm sure it would work though, and can't see it failing under load if you tie a decent knot in it
