On Sunday 2nd June we headed off early, me lifting him at 6am and leaving the carpark on the Trassey road at 7am. I love this time of the morning, you seem to have the whole of the Mournes to yourself. We followed the Trassey Track to the wall at Hare&#8217;s Gap where there was still a bit of low cloud hanging over the peaks.<\/p>\n<p>Looking along the Brandy Pad where Slieve Comedagh and Slieve Donard are covered in cloud<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ni-wild.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/8980646551_498967d1e4_z.jpg\" data-rel=\"lightbox-gallery-GlGg68Rg\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1408\" alt=\"8980646551_498967d1e4_z\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ni-wild.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/8980646551_498967d1e4_z.jpg\" width=\"640\" height=\"424\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ni-wild.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/8980646551_498967d1e4_z.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.ni-wild.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/8980646551_498967d1e4_z-300x198.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.ni-wild.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/8980646551_498967d1e4_z-600x397.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We followed the wall straight up now to the summit of Slieve Bernagh where there was no visibility at all. I have yet to get to the top of this mountain when there is clear visibility \u00a0. This was new ground for the both of us. Their energy amazes me.
