This is a thread to discuss the trip here:
http://www.ni-wild.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=883

Here's a thread we can all discuss what food we fancy, who's bringing what and who wants to share.

We're planning on spatchcocking a couple of chickens along with a few lamb chops and potatoes cooked in the fire. Maybe some gravy.
Mmmm.

Who fancies what and who's bringing what?

Chicken and some potatoes sounds good to me... I'm happy enough to chip in and bring some grub with me, just let me know what I need to bring and it shall be done Smiley

I was talking to billy back pack earlier. I'll bring a chicken and some parsnips and see if I can get them rolled in honey or something.

It seems everyone is really prepared to chip in so lets not get too confused with who brings what...

Does it make sense to create a list.... modify, cut and paste if possible.....

billy backpack ....1 chicken, 1 jar piri marinade, 4 minted lamb chops, handfull of tatties.
chris-8764..........1 chicken, handfull of parsnips
J.......................1 chicken, (poss) pork chops

Do you want me to bring the lamb chops Andy?  Feel should chip in with something meat related, but at same time I dont know if we would need another chicken?!  Can bring a handful of tatties as well.  Or is there anything else we could do with?

I think 3 chickens would be enough (or we'll need a bigger spit Smiley). Throw a few bits of meat in like sausages or steak or chops (or your meat of choice!) and a few potatoes or veg should bulk us out nicely.

Current List - cut and paste into your own thread to add or edit. Last one in the thread is the one we'll use.

suspectmonkey....4x pork chops, potatoes, maybe sweetcorn
Kat....................Banana with chocolate (I've been assured this is divine when heated in the fire!)

At this rate we are going to be feeding half of Newcastle!  Think I will be bringing some bacon/sausages for breakfast on Sunday morning as well, but will just bring the Honey Stove and cook it over it as a wood burner.
