Not sure where to put this since there's a bit of everything...

The Glens of Antrim plays host to a 1 day adventure race.  These races are a great way of getting into the sport of adventure racing. They are small scale but still full of adventure and enjoyment.  This race is teams of 2.  Male/Female or Mixed teams.

On the day expect to be out on course for anything between 3-6 hours depending on how fast you complete the course.  Sweeper Marshals will cut your route short if it is deemed you don’t have sufficient time to finish.

What you can expect:

Adventure racing is one of the few sports where just completing an event is often considered a victory. Another driving factor in adventure racing is the emphasis that is placed on teamwork, rather than individual achievement.

Adventure racing can offer easy crossover for cyclists, runners and water sport enthusiasts. The races can vary in team size from 2-5 competitors, with some events now offering solo categories. The disciplines can also vary from race to race.

Below is a selection of what you can expect at some of our races, these disciplines may change from event to event.

Teamwork & Fitness

Navigation

Running/Trekking

Mountain Biking

Kayaking
