It's definitely looking wet and windy I'm afraid folks. Forecast below says wet all day Saturday and very windy to boot.

I think anyone who can pack a tarp, guys and pegs please do so that we can get a shelter up if needs be. Also, can someone bring a bow saw, mine's defunct. Reply below if you can help with either or have any other ideas or suggestions.

Folks it looking like Saturday is going to be wet and windy all day so the possibility of staying dry is definitely out the window. We have the option of maybe changing the location of the camp to Foffany dam, this has its pros and cons though. On the plus side the forest is a bit thicker so offers a bit more shelter, from the car it's 5mins to the camp spot so a few of us could bring a bag of dry logs to get the makings of a fire going. The flip side of this though is there is no secure parking at Foffany, you either park on the roadside or up at ott car park where as there is secure parking at carrick little if we plough on with hotel Annalong. It makes no odds to me I'm happy to go wherever as I've only myself to think about.
If you all could give us your thoughts on this and we'll take it from there.

I'm fine with Fofanny. Will we make a command decision and say Fofanny then? Think we need to decide sooner rather than later so half of us don't turn up at Annalong and half at Fofanny. I'll have the turkey & ham, I'll be okay 8)

Good stuff, then spread the word that it's Fofanny.

Alas the weather looks pretty grim. We'll definitely at least want some tarps, it looks like it might rain all day. There's a chance of it drying up a bit in the evening but I wouldn't hold my breath but it seems like gale force winds all the way!

Saturday:
A cloudy day with outbreaks of rain, the rain persistent and heavy at times especially through the afternoon. Strong to gale force southeasterly winds, risk of severe coastal gales. Maximum Temperature 9 °C.

Folks it might be a good idea if we could rustle up a few bags of logs to try and get a good fire started as dry firewood could be hard to come by ;) ;)
