Annalong Valley hike.
« on: November 02, 2015 »

Took a bit of a walk up the Annalong Valley at the weekend with the intention of exploring Cove Cave and having a squint up the Devil's Coachroad but with all the rain on Friday night the water was flowing out of the entrance of the cave so it was a no go.  We did on the other hand have a good look at the Devil's Coachroad, its definitely one for the future when its a lot dryer, i think i recall reading a post stating it would be a bit dodgy to attempt an accent it wet conditions so we left it for now.
A few photos from Saturday.

Could anyone tell me what kind of mushroom this is as the gnome who was perched on it ran off when he saw us coming ;D ;D

Looks like a lovely dander. I've considered the Coachroad a load of times but never had the stones to try it yet :)

I need to use up some leave so was planning a plod from Carrick Little on Friday. Might not make it all the way up Binnian but will give it a go.

Anyone finds a breathless bloke wandering aimlessly, point him downhill, will you?
