Tollymore Trail Marathon - TTM14 2014

Anyone doing this?
Trail Marathon in the stunning setting of Tollymore Forest park
The Tollymore Trail Marathon – Saturday 15 November 2014

After spending a large number of hours running and walking in Tollymore Forest Park over the last five years we have identified a great route for an “end of year” trail ultra marathon, marathon and half marathon. The event will be a looped event with participants completing one loop for a half marathon, two loops for a full marathon and three loops for the ultra marathon (40 miles).
The route that we have chosen will showcase the beauty of Tollymore to all participants and will further strengthen the Newcastle / Castlewellan area as a great playground for adventure sports enthusiasts.
The Tollymore Trail Marathon will be a fully waymarked event and will be based solely within the confines of Tollymore Forest Park. The route will follow a series of forest trails throughout the forest whilst all the time taking in the spectacular scenery in this location.

As with all 26 Extreme events, there will be a high level of support and feed stations en route. Participants in all events will be chipped timed by our timing partner ChampionChip Ireland and we will provide finish times for all participants after the event.
The route can be viewed here: - http://connect.garmin.com/activity/591221607

Hoping to do the half marathon, will leave it to end of October before signing up just in case of injury.
