The Long Mynd, Shropshire - Jul 17
« on: August 04, 2017 »

I've shared a few photos in the past from an area of Shropshire that I have been able to visit for a bit of walking and camping.  I was fortunate enough to get another quick camp in this year.  It was the usual story, planning a new route I hadn't been before, setting off later than I hoped, contouring round hills so as not to disturb farmers, winds a bit more lively than I hoped for, taking a bit of time to find a suitable sheltered pitch, having to clear sheep dung, and of course there was the stargazing, the adventure, the morning views, the peace and quiet and THAT feeling when you know why you just love a wee solo camp  :)

Here's some photies.

Excellent G, that second photo is so inviting! Looks like you had a tranquil night, in a serene location. Thanks for sharing.

Looks like a lovely part of the world, great pics and the peace n quiet something that's getting harder to come by these days it's nice just to switch off, get the feel of the grass on the back of your neck and just look up ;) ;)

Peace and quiet is hard to come by, and so is time.  It'd be nice to have a bit more time to get out there and enjoy it.  Just got to keep snatching those chances that come along.
