I've seen quite a few bivi bags and easily the best quality for the money is the ex Army bivi bags. They are considerable more robust than the normal ones and usually a but larger too. Some I have tried were like being in a straight jacket. No room to move at all. if you can get them, go for the Dutch army ones.

yeah I use an ex army one (british) and its fine, bit heavier than the rest but other wise bomb proof. I got mine for free but I'm sure you could pick one up for next to nothing.
