Has anyone ever camped in Annalong Wood? I wondered if there were any secluded spots there where you wouldn't be disturbed by boozy parties and the like so you could pitch a bivi/tarp in peace?
-
I've camped there plenty. I've seen other people but never had any trouble (and in fairness, I was probably the boozy one). We were up in December and had a great night. It is defo one of the well known wild camping spots but one of my faves. (Carrick Little car park is a well known spot for cars getting broken into though.)

to be fair I don't think you'll have to worry about the pissheads in this weather and if you go on a week night you'll prob be the only one there.

Lets organise a quick weekend overnighter and check...

We built a stacked debris walled shelter there along with AA a couple of years ago. AA insisted on the wrong type of roof though and, needless to say, it leaked terribly. The walls were well built though and, with a new roof, it would make a great shelter

Gonna show my total ignorance here but who are AA?
