Birds at the Giants Causeway
« on: May 20, 2012 »

We done a coastal ride at the weekend and while stopped to take photos these guys came over to see what we where doing.  It was class because they where using the  thermal up drafts to hover within reaching distance.  They didnt seem phased by us at all. These where taken with the iphone too  ;D

Sorry, thought this thread was about something else  :-[

;)  Cool pics, I'm sure it was pretty surreal to get that close to them mid-flight.

The photos don't do the views justice. My timing wasn't the greatest either so I didn't get the shots of the birds at their closest.

That is the old causeway lower path. Used to be a great walk. It's closed now due to the massive landslides that have been happening.

These are the parts most visitors don't see as they seem to just go to the stones and leave. Stunning views
