Title: Pupper wild camp. Gibbs Island. Strangford Lough.
Post by: NIPupper on December 29, 2018

Strangford Lough pupper wild camp. Gibbs Island (owned by the National Trust), Quoile estuary. 22-23 December 2018.

A little rain overnight but a mostly calm and peaceful camp. A great spot with easy access.

cheers, it was a lovely calm morning. the sound of rain on the tent was great. I love that sound, especially when your all dry and half asleep.

That's a great time of year to be out when the weather is nice. The shot of the moon was brilliant, I don't remember it being so full.

Fantastic spot. I grew up in that area and we used to camp just across from there on Gores Island as kids. It was a short cycle from home for us and across the causeway at low tide.
