Respect!!.....hard core!! I was considering this when I saw it here on the forum...got Friday off work but decided to wait until Saturday.......Myself and 2 others left it until Saturday evening in dark  and camped at the saddle of Donard and Commedagh....great night and yesterday was a cracker too.

Wise decision Ruggedtrack. Unfortunately we were restricted to Friday night and it was annoying to see what a great weekend it was after that. Having said that, if we had been able to get to the summit, the shelter provided by the wall would make the conditions quite tolerable.

Nicely done guys, sometimes you just have to brave the elements when the opportunity comes around! Listening  to the rain hammering on the window on Friday night I reckoned you defo weren't in for a dry one! That said, I ended up in Tollymore for a wander on Saturday morning with Suspectmonkey and the weather was lovely.

Ultimately what was your route if you ended back at Leitrim Lodge?

We started and finished from the car park at rocky river bridge and just followed the track. Leitrim lodge is just down the road from that so it was the nearest sheltered area.
