Getting started wth veg growing - 17th & 31st March, 10am - 12pm

If you are new to growing your own veg, and would like some advice and a little practice, come and spend a couple of hours at Lackan Cottage Farm. We'll be planting potatoes and onions, and showing you how to start seeds off using inexpensive planters and freely available materials.
Start time is 10am, for 2 hours, followed by a bit of lunch and chat. Bring some food along to share - we'll be providing soup and tea.
Wear warm clothing, and call before setting out if the weather is bad. Bring along whatever seeds you would like to plant.
No charge, but a donation of £2 is suggested towards costs.
Weather hotline: 028 40650273.

We are also reminding people that we are taking part in the One Million Trees in One Day event, on Saturday 23rd March, and inviting people to come along between 9am and 12 noon to help us plant. Wear warm clothing and bring a spade if possible. Tea and buns provided.

cheers
