Just back from a summit camp during one of hottest two days in the Mournes.one tip is to use either skimmed or semi skimmed milk as it will keep longer than full fat milk.store the unopened half pint( should be more than enough) in the centre of you're pack as this will prevent it heating from the sun.As soon as you get to camp find a sheltered place to keep the milk.

Freeze it first, then wrap in tin foil or place in one of those insulated bags. (note: don't freeze a full bottle!)

I suppose the old Scout trick of keeping it in a river still holds, at least once you stop for the day if there's one about.

Freeze it, or use UHT. Tastes quite bad on its own but as a whitener for tea or coffee its perfectly workable.

I've recently started using powdered milk and I think it's great.  Mind you I am only using it for a cup of tea.
