The Robinson centre runs kayak sessions on a Wednesday nights or Saturday morning. I would highly recommend going there to start off. You can use the club boats in the centre and depending on what sort of kayaking she wants to do, I would hold off on a boat until then. There is a great facebook page that sells second hand Kayaks and Canoes. https://www.facebook.com/groups/318472144863317/

Also check out Cani for any courses and local clubs in your area. If you need any other info just PM me.

Turn up and paddle with Mobile Team Adventure at Shaws Bridge is perfect. They do a kids session 9-11am on a Saturday, no equipment required and you can do Canadians or Kayaks. Maybe a bit early in the year though, could be parky :D

I was talking to Typo yesterday about it. My thoughts are organising a family fun day at Castlewellan lake around Easter. I can borrow boats from either Greenhill or AOEC and I can take up to 10 peeps per session. Whilst that is going on we can have other programmes going on like orienteering, bushcraft and if people want to bring their bikes then they could maybe cycle round the lake or walk up to Slievenaslat. We can organise a group BBQ and then if people want to move on to Donard wood for the Easter camp then the option is there. What do you think?
