Hey peeps
« on: September 03, 2015 »

Hey all - thanks for the add.

Had the pleasure of climbling Donard in July while I was in Newcastle visiting relatives - not a good idea on 3/4 litre of water and no food, but no frame of reference to compare it to.  Fortunately learned that lesson at least and will be properly prepared next time - check out the cool photos:

Definitely gonna be doing more hillwalking so will need a buddy shortly, who can hopefully teach me how to use a compass and brush up on my navigation skills.  Based near Armoy in Co. Antrim and would love lto walk to the top of Orra next.

Anyone fancy a hike with me to Slieve Croob next time I'm visiting my relatives as I definitely need some more awesome pics of the Mournes (especially silent Valley)?

Donard's always a great start, at least you know you've done the tallest one first ;)

Mind you, head up the first Slievenaglogh you come to and you'll be looking down on Ben Crom reservoir instead!  There is actually one in Louth too.  You could always arrange a meet up on Rocky Mountain  ;)

I bivvied on slievenaglogh last Monday after/before work.
Was a beautiful night. Crystal clear sky, milky way overhead. Very much enjoyed it.
Huge big clear puddle of water 10ft from my bivvy. Ran it through the sawyer filter and was grand.
Hard to beat
