Northern Ireland Outdoors Forum

This forum is intended as a meeting place for anyone from Northern Ireland interested in enjoying the outdoors. It's suitable for all ages and levels of fitness and we cater for all activities from camping to marathons and fishing to mountain biking. Sign up, get posting and head for the outdoors for some fun!

We will be doing the 2009 Mourne Mountain Marathon class D route so people can test their fitness before deciding whether they want to try this years. A bit of endurance never hurt anyone!

Lenny James - Mount Kilimanjaro Charity Ascent
Lenny James is planning to do Mount Kilimanjaro on the 26th Feb 2011 for Oxfam Ireland. Keep an eye on this thread for information on his progress and to participate in his fundraising events.

2010 Night Hikes - Weekly
The night hikes are on again. Quick mid-week evening walks in a variety of locations for some fun and exercise.

Marshalling the iPlod - 18-19th June 2010
Congratulations to all of you that helped with the Iplod marshalling. Even after 50 hours with no sleep I still had a really great time! The event raised over £20,000 for Action Medical Research. Who's up for next year!!!

Snowdon Horseshoe - Late summer
A trip to the top of Snowdon likely via an interesting route.
